If you discover this insect in your garden, you better know what it is

It was Logan’s grandfather who located the insect that had bitten him. He put on thick gloves, put them in a pocket, and examined them more closely.

It was a caterpillar, both “cute” and fluffy. It also turned out to be one of the most poisonous caterpillars in all of North America. After researching online, Andrea realized she needed to get Logan to the emergency room quickly.

“Please research this caterpillar, be aware of it, and let your children know,”  Andrea wrote on Facebook.

“He’s not from Florida, he’s from Texas, and he lives here now. If you get bitten or your child gets stung, please go to the emergency room and get treatment. I can assure you that we didn’t know he had been stung so many times, and that regular over-the-counter Benadryl wouldn’t have treated it at home.”
