1. Prepare the Dough

  • In a large bowl, mix yeast, warm milk, water, and sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until bubbly.

  • Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour gradually. Knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 mins).

  • Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2. Make the Filling

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.

  • Add spinach and chopped artichokes. Cook for 2–3 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and mix in cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Let cool.

3. Assemble the Bread

  • Roll the dough into a large rectangle.

  • Spread the filling evenly.

  • Roll up the dough into a log and cut it lengthwise down the center.

  • Twist the two halves together (cut-side up) and place in a loaf pan lined with parchment paper.

4. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  • Brush the loaf with egg wash and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
