🍰 Step 2: Assemble the Cake

  1. Line a cake ring or springform pan with parchment paper.
  2. Spread a thin layer of custard on the bottom.
  3. Arrange a layer of palmier cookies on top.
  4. Add another layer of custard, and repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cream.
  5. Crush some palmier cookies or puff pastry and sprinkle on top for decoration.

  • Cover and refrigerate the cake for at least 6 hours (best overnight) to allow the cookies to soften and meld with the cream.
  • Carefully unmold, slice, and enjoy!
