📝 Ingredients:
For the dough:

500 g all-purpose flour

2 tsp active dry yeast

100 ml warm milk

100 g sugar
-
2 eggs
-
100 g butter (softened)

1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1/2 tsp salt
For the filling:

100 g raisins (soaked in warm water or rum for 15 min)

Optional: 50 g candied cherries
To glaze:

1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk (for brushing)

2 tbsp apricot jam or honey (for shine, optional)

1. Prepare the Dough:

In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast with warm milk and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add in eggs, yeast mixture, vanilla, and softened butter.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1.5–2 hours or until doubled in size.
